The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this distinction of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds reaffirming, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been supported by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the field are required to be NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without the accreditation.

It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most qualified technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that measure the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.

Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians achieve their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in one or more of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be confident that the technicians at Service Experts are highly competent and professional and will do the job the proper way from the start. Our company has the know-how and skill set to not only repair your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts check out your HVAC system to ensure that it is equipped to keep your family comfortable all season long.
